Director of Outpatient Psychiatric Clinic                                      

Behavioral Healthcare Corporation, (www.bhc-pa.com) a Lancaster, PA based, premier provider of site based and mobile multi-disciplinary mental health services, is seeking an experienced Full Time (32-40hrs, 4-5 days a week) Director of Outpatient Psychiatric Client for Lancaster County, PA.

This position requires demonstrated effective verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work cooperatively with various community providers, fostering a team approach to care. The Clinic Director participates in the development and implementation of policies and procedures for the organization.  The Clinic Director collaborates with the Nursing, Mobile Socialization Rehabilitation and Administrative support staff, to ensure effective and efficient care delivery and the achievement of desired outcomes for all clients.

In addition to the Psychotherapist responsibilities with an agreed upon client case load, the Clinic Director is responsible for:

  • The delivery of client care that promotes safety and well-being for all clients receiving psychotherapy services
  • Coordinating care based on established regulatory guidelines and psychotherapy practice standards
  • Working within established budgetary guidelines and monitoring productivity and scheduling
  • Providing ongoing, weekly group supervision to all psychotherapy staff and individual supervision as needed
  • Collaborating in the interviewing, hiring and the orientation of new psychotherapy staff
  • Promoting ongoing education
  • Creating agency Clinical Conference schedule to support ongoing training for all staff
  • Coordinates and reports on Quality Assurance requirements on a biannual basis

Education: Minimum graduate degree in a generally recognized clinical discipline including, but not limited to psychiatry, social work, psychology, nursing, or rehabilitation or activities therapies. Independent Practitioner License preferred.

Training and Experience:  Minimum of three years clinical experience and a minimum of two years demonstrated leadership responsibilities. Current BLS, CPR certification. Current, not older than 5 years, Pennsylvania ACT 34 (PA Criminal Background Check), ACT 151 (Child Abuse Clearance) and ACT 114 (FBI Clearance).

Operation of Equipment: Equipment related to client care, computer skills.

Licenses: Unrestricted driver’s license. Current licensure within specific discipline in the Commonwealth of PA (i.e., LPC, LCSW, LMFT, PhD).

Work Schedule: A mutually agreed upon number of hours and schedule required to effectively execute the role of the Director of Outpatient Psychiatric Clinic.

Mobile Psychiatric Nurse

Behavioral Healthcare Corporation, (www.bhc-pa.com) a Lancaster based, premier provider of site based and mobile multi-disciplinary mental health services, is seeking experienced Part Time and/or Full Time (24-40hrs, 3-5 days a week) Licensed Practical Nurses and Registered Nurses.

Requirements:

  • Psychiatric training/experience and a minimum of 5 years of relevant clinical experience for LPNs and 2 years for RNs.
  • Prior clinical experience working with a multidisciplinary team.
  • The ability to;
